U-bolt mechanical tees are grooved fire protection fittings designed as saddle-style branch connectors. They eliminate the need for welding or prefabricated tees; installation involves cutting a hole in the main pipe wall and securing the fitting around the main pipe using a U-bolt to create a branch outlet (typically featuring internal threads).

- Applicable Main Pipe: DN32–DN300; Branch Specifications: DN15, DN20, DN25, etc. (reducing branch configuration: large main pipe, small branch pipe)
- Applicable Media: Fire protection water, fresh water; Temperature range: -34°C to 110°C
- Certifications: FM, UL, CE; compliant with GB 5135.11 (National Standard for fire protection pipe fittings)

- Can it be used for steam above 150 C?
- No. Do not use for steam above 150 C unless a written project-specific approval, rated gasket, and compatible body material are confirmed.
- Can it replace any grooved fitting without checking pipe OD?
- No. Pipe OD, groove standard, working pressure, gasket material, and certification scope must be matched.
- Is it suitable for potable water by default?
- No. Potable water use requires confirmation of coating, gasket compound, local sanitary approval, and project compliance.
- Can it be used in corrosive chemical service?
- Not by default. Chemical compatibility must be verified against the medium, concentration, temperature, and coating system.
